Allen focuses his litigation practice on defending personal injury and property claims. He has defended local and national companies in asbestos litigation, handled multi-million dollar casualty cases, and managed construction defect cases for both general contractors and subcontractors.

Allen has a wide variety of trial, arbitration and mediation experience and has successfully argued in front of the Oregon Court of Appeals and Land Use Board of Appeals. He has also tried seven cases to verdict and has served as second chair on several more.

After graduating from the University of Oregon, Allen clerked with Lane County Circuit Court Judge Lyle Velure, where he gained firsthand knowledge of effective motion and trial practice. He spent three years with the Medford, Oregon firm Frohnmayer Deatherage, and five years with a large Portland litigation firm defending individuals and businesses in civil lawsuits. He applies his knowledge and experience to achieve his client's objectives at the lowest cost.

Representative Matters

• Obtained summary judgment on a $7 million dollar Employer Liability Law and negligence action involving a construction site accident.
• Achieved a defense verdict in favor of Washington packing foam distributor in products liability lawsuit filed by local seller.
• Successfully represented group of homeowners at local regulatory hearings at the Land Use Board of Appeals in suit involving the installation of a cell phone tower.
• Represented a national company in multi-million dollar personal injury asbestos exposure suit, which resulted in successful motion for summary judgment.
• Defended concrete subcontractor in construction defect litigation that was resolved through a no-cost settlement.
• Achieved voluntary dismissal in favor of retail mall in personal injury premises liability action.
